On Saturday, April 18 from 9 am to 12 pm, the City of San Marcos and EDCO are sponsoring a FREE document-shredding event at Palomar Community College, 1140 West Mission Road, Parking Lot #14. EDCO will also be accepting electronic waste at this event.
Acceptable items include computer and television monitors, central processing units, laptop computers, miscellaneous computer components, printers and scanners, fax machines, cell phones and batteries. Participants are limited to two bankers boxes (10’’x12’’x15’’) per household and will be unable to dispose of any hazardous waste or appliances.
EDCO also accepts e-waste devices free of charge at the EDCO Recycling Buyback Center, 224 South Las Posas Road. Residential customers may also call EDCO to collect unwanted electronic devices for a nominal cost through the company’s bulky item collection service.
