Get City of San Marcos documents, reports, minutes and more

Under the California Public Records Act, the community has access to city records, except those that are considered confidential, privileged or are otherwise exempt from disclosure.

Public documents include meeting agendas and minutes, city contracts, studies and reports, ordinances (city laws), correspondence/emails, maps, budgets, and more. If you're not sure what you're looking for, call us, and we’ll be happy to help narrow down your request.

How long does It take to get my public records?

We will respond to your public records request within 10 calendar days from when it was received, as specified in Government Code Section 7922.535. If additional time is needed to locate, compile or review records, our staff will contact you using the information you provide.
