As authorized by City Council Resolution# 2023-9229, the City of San Marcos is now collecting Transaction Fees for payments made by credit card or debit card.  If you prefer another payment method, the City still accepts check and cash.

Our Services

The Planning Division promotes and enhances the well-being of residents, visitors, property owners, and businesses of the City of San Marcos by encouraging high quality development, responsible business practices, protecting natural resources, and implementation of the city’s General Plan and Zoning Ordinance.
