Community Rock Snake at Jack's Pond Park

In celebration of Parks Make Life Better Month, we're inviting you to create a free, interactive art display! Find a rock, paint it, and add it to our growing Community Rock Snake. Please do not remove any painted rocks, only add to our collection.

Stay updated and share your creations by following us on Instagram @SanMarcosRec and using the hashtag #SanMarcosRockSnake.

Nature Center Closures

The Nature Center relies on the support of volunteers for weekend operations. We aim to be open every Sunday, but hours may vary depending on volunteer availability. Planned closures will be posted here, though unexpected closures are possible.

Support the Nature Center

Your donation helps us continue our mission of conservation, education, and stewardship. Every gist, big or small, ensures future generations can explore, learn, and be inspired by nature. Thank you for supporting our shared environment! Donate here to the Friends of San Marcos Foundation and put in note section "For Jack's Pond Nature Center"!
