Bent Avenue Bridge taking Shape: Earlier last week, construction crews poured over 850 cubic yards of concrete for the bridge deck. Crews will be monitoring the bridge and allow the concrete to cure and strengthen. The photo below shows Bent Avenue before bridge construction and current construction!

Installation of storm water treatment basins: Storm water treatment basins continue to be installed in the Creek area north of Discovery Street. These basins will treat runoff from the newly widened Discovery Street.
Utility Work on Discovery Street: Continuing next week, utility work on the south side of Discovery Street is scheduled. Flaggers will be in the area directing traffic intermittently to keep the area safe for workers and drivers. Work is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022.

The San Marcos Creek Project is a 214-acre project adjacent to the San Marcos Creek, generally bounded by:
- West San Marcos Boulevard to the north
- Grand Avenue to the east
- Via Vera Cruz to the west
- Discovery Avenue to the south
The Creek Project will add the needed infrastructure to reduce long-standing flooding issues and improve traffic circulation while revitalizing and preserving the San Marcos Creek.
