Via Vera Cruz Concrete Pour: Weather permitting, tomorrow Wednesday, April 12, construction crews will be performing a second concrete pour for the bridge deck as early as 3 a.m. to early/late evening. Expect delays throughout the Creek project area as a high volume of concrete trucks and construction vehicles will be accessing Via Vera Cruz from San Marcos Boulevard on the north end of the project.

If possible, please use alternative routes. There will be no permanent shifts in traffic control as a result of this work.

Here’s what to expect:

  • High volumes of concrete trucks and construction vehicles throughout the area
  • 12-14 hour work day
  • Early morning working hours and lights to prepare for concrete pour at 2:30 a.m.
  • Additional construction noise due to trucks, generators, etc.
  • Intermittent traffic slowing along Discovery Street and San Marcos Boulevard
  • Flaggers will be present to guide drivers throughout the area

Shutdown at Joy Court: On Thursday, April 13, residents along Joy Court can expect a water shutdown by Vallecitos Water District to secure the newly installed 8” PVC pipe which will help drainage in the area. The shutdown is expected to last between 4-6 hours. Vallecitos Water District will provide work notices to nearby residents. The construction work is unrelated to the Creek project. If you have any questions, please visit the Vallecitos Water District website
