The City of San Marcos Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of special events throughout the year for the community to enjoy.

City Hike

Walnut Grove/Twin Oaks Valley Region

  • Date: 11/02/2024 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM  
  • Introduction: 9am to 12pm (sign-in begins at 8:30am)

Easy to Moderate: Experience the wonder and beauty of this historic region of San Marcos as we hike 6.5 miles of trails around Walnut Grove Park and The Purple Heart Memorial. We will also take in views along Twin Oaks Valley, La Cienega, Mulberry, and Cox Roads.

Meeting location: Walnut Grove Park (South parking lot), 1950 Sycamore Dr. San Marcos 92069
